Vicky Hageman has a degree in Ceramics from Edinburgh College of Art, and now works from her garden studio on the North Kent coast. Her work is thrown on the potter's wheel using porcelain clay. The pieces are finely thrown, yet robust enough for everyday use. Form and function are kept simple. She uses a subtle colour palette; graphic lines of black and white inlaid slip and sgraffito, smooth, tactile glazes in muted colours.

She enjoys the repetitive process of wheel throwing. Over time the forms undergo a renewal and reinvention with subtle variations in size, shape and glaze finish.
