Ceramicist Helena Cairns makes wheel thrown, functional pottery from her garden studio in the village of Ashwell, Hertfordshire.

Often foraging for branches in the surrounding countryside to use for mark making onto her work, she takes inspiration from natural textiles and dying techniques.

Helena works primarily in warm stoneware clay and contrasts this with rich indigo patterns, often incorporating a wax resist technique to add depth into her pieces.

Helena’s ceramics are watertight, food & drink safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe (we recommend handwashing all ceramics to extend their life).
