Helen produces hand thrown, hand crafted and glazed stoneware at her Cambridge home studio. Her pieces are decorative, practical, experimenting in layering and refiring glazes to produce unique effects.

In Helen’s own words “Ceramics for me is therapy, it calms & focuses my mind, gives me space to breathe and hopefully yields a product that brings joy to those who use or admire it”. This approach is typified by her Cambridge Cow Jugs, a project developed during the first lockdown, where Helen had the time to experiment, perfect and improve the concept.

Helen is influenced by fundamental shapes, and the city she lives in. Pieces are hand-thrown, hand painted and glazed, then marked by her potters stamp LEL, a family nickname.

Helen’s ceramics are watertight, food and drink safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe (we recommend handwashing to prolong the ceramics life).
