Amie is a lino printmaker based in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, creating original handmade prints inspired by the beauty of the natural world. Since discovering lino printing in 2017, what began as a creative hobby has grown into a small independent business.
Drawn to the mindful nature of the printmaking process, Amie hand-carves and prints each piece, embracing the subtle variations that make every print unique. Her work is inspired by the flora and fauna that surround her, exploring the organic shapes, textures and patterns found in nature. Through traditional printmaking techniques, she aims to capture the quiet beauty of the natural world in thoughtfully crafted, hand-pulled prints.
Sustainability is an important part of her printmaking practice. Wherever possible, she sources all of her materials from UK suppliers to help reduce my carbon footprint. She also uses Safe Wash inks, which can be cleaned using only soap, water and paper towels, eliminating the need for harsh chemicals. This makes the printmaking process more environmentally conscious, with waste that can be disposed of through standard household waste.
How to care for your work: Please take care when removing the artwork from the mount frame. Due to the handmade nature of the paper, it is particularly delicate and should be handled gently to avoid the risk of tearing. To preserve the quality and appearance of your artwork, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as this may result in natural fading over time.
