Terms and Conditions, Shipping & Returns
cambridge contemporary crafts specialises in crafts handmade in the UK. Due to the nature of hand crafted work, colours and sizes can vary slightly from the photographs. Please call us on 01223 361200 if you would like to see more photos of a particular piece of work before you decide. All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT.
How to buy:
Online: Select items to buy. Go to your shopping cart, then proceed through the checkout pages as prompted. Once payment is received, we will pack and dispatch your item.
Phone: If you would prefer to pay over the phone, please call us on 01223 361200 and we can charge the amount to your card then post the item out to you (or to your friend’s address). We are open 10am – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 11am – 5pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays. If we don’t answer the first time please do try again in 15mins, you will have just caught us at a busy moment in the gallery.
If you live nearby and would prefer to come in to cambridge contemporary crafts and collect an item, choose 'collect in store' at the checkout page.
Or, you can reserve it by giving us a ring on 01223 361200, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We'll keep your item aside for up to 2 days, however if you would like it to be reserved for longer you may pay a non-refundable 20% deposit over the phone and we will be happy to hold the item until you're ready to collect it in person.
Cancelling an order
If you wish to cancel an order please email us as soon as possible at email@example.com If we have already posted the item you will need to follow the directions below and return the item to us.
We are sure that you will be delighted with your purchase. However should you wish to return an item, please get in touch by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know your name, phone number, invoice number and reason for wanting to return the item. Once you have emailed us, please wrap the item very securely, if possible in the original packaging, and return the parcel to cambridge contemporary crafts, 5 Bene't Street, Cambridge, CB2 3QN. Once it has been returned in perfect condition within 28 days, we will then arrange an exchange, credit note or refund. Please understand that we are unable to pay for any postage charges - either the postage cost of sending it to you or your cost of returning it to us.
Keep the postage receipt in case of any loss or damage in transit. We cannot accept liability for lost or damage items that you have posted back to us. If the product has not been returned to us in fully saleable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund or replacement of the item.
For hygiene reasons we are unable to accept returns on earrings.
It can take up to 3 working days before your order is dispatched. If you need your order by a specific date please contact us before ordering and we will let you know if this is possible. 11am on Friday 19th December is the last date to buy on our online shop and ensure that it will arrive in time for Christmas.
If you have seen something that you would like after this date, don't buy it off our website but ring us on 01223 361200 and speak to a member of staff before 11am on Monday 22nd December, then we will post it by special delivery.
We do not make a profit on delivery fees; we simply charge you what it costs to send the work to you. We aim to use as much recycled material as possible in our packaging.
If you are not in to take delivery of your parcel, it is your responsibility to arrange a redelivery with the postal service used. If you do not arrange a redelivery or collect the parcel from the depot, and it is returned to cambridge contemporary crafts, then we will have to charge to ship it out again.
Orders are sent with Royal Mail first class and will take 3 - 7 working days to arrive once it has been sent. In rare cases it can take a bit longer, especially during busy times of year. If your order hasn't arrived within 10 days please get in touch.
International orders are sent with Royal Mail Airmail and will take between 5 - 14 days to reach you.
You, or the addressee, may be required to pay customs fees and their subsequent charges on receipt of your order anywhere outside of the UK. Please be aware that payment of these duties is your responsibility. There could also be a delay while the item is held in customs. Unfortunately we have no control over this, and cannot supply any details why or for how long your parcel may be delayed.
Packaging & Breakages
We wrap each item very carefully. Any ceramic or glass items are wrapped in bubble wrap as well as any additional packaging such as polystyrene. We endeavour to reuse and recycle packaging materials wherever possible.
In the unlikely event that your order does arrive damaged or has a fault, please email us at email@example.com immediately, so that we can arrange an exchange. Please do not throw the item away. Keep it in its packaging and inform us of the problem within 7 days of receiving the goods, otherwise we cannot be held responsible for damage that has occured.
