Born in Cornwall, Julie Murdoch-George graduated from Plymouth College of Arts in 2005. Her work is an eclectic mix of femininity that is always changing. All pieces are dressed up in various pretty patterns to enhance the form. Her work is hand-made using earthenware clay that has been fired multiple time.
Julie’s work has a graceful appearance with an emphasis on surface decoration with nostalgic references reminiscent of elaborate fabrics and wallpapers. Recent pieces include quirky vases, seed pots and tealight holders. Her ceramic jewellery range has been designed in collaboration with her daughter Zoe, whose background in graphic design has helped produce a unique range of delicate pieces.
