Heather Alderman is an illustrator, designer and printmaker whose relief prints are heavily influenced and inspired by animals, nature and the surrounding countryside.
Having studied Graphic Design at De Montfort University in Leicester, she originally worked as an Art Director and Designer for agencies across London for many years before eventually becoming a freelance Designer and Illustrator working all across the country. It wasn't until later on in her career she became interested in the process of Printmaking and now draws upon her design background in order to create the compositions for her lino print work. Graphic shapes, repetition and bold lines, inspired by her rural settings in North West Leicestershire, are evident in all of her prints.
Heather's lino prints are printed on beautiful Japanese papers using non-toxic oil based inks.
