WORKSHOP – Leporello Bookbinding with Edel Hopkin

Cambridge Contemporary CraftsComment

On Wednesday 4th February, at 5 Bene't Street,

 6.30pm – 9.30pm, £45 with materials and refreshments included.

After the success of Edel Hopkin's book binding workshop in November we are hosting another workshop at the gallery on 4th February. The name ‘Leporello’ comes from Mozart’s Don Giovanni and is perhaps an apt name for this workshop so close to Valentine's day!

During the evening you will learn how to prepare the covering boards for the Leporello binding as well as fold and manipulate the accordion-style internal section. This style of book is perfect for gift-giving and personalising in a myriad of creative ways some of which we will be able to explore on the evening.

You will leave with a beautiful book structure ready to give as a gift and also with the skills and confidence to do further practice at home ensuring you will never again be short of an original present!

The class is suitable for all levels of experience, particularly students new to bookbinding.

There are 8 places on the workshop, ring us on 01223 361200 to book a place or pop in to 5 Bene't Street.
