My work comes primarily from a love of textiles and texture. My embroidery designs are inspired by nature and nature illustration.

The idea for a piece often comes from the fabric, a particular texture, colour or pattern suggesting a use or design. I generally use a quite naturalistic colour range and enjoy using subtle colour combinations to create a harmonious design.

The pieces I produce are made with the ethos of wanting to create original handmade objects which are environmentally responsible, incorporating recycled and vintage materials as much as possible and making things which are unique and will hopefully be loved and used for years to come.
