Elizabeth Deheza

Elizabeth is an Italian-Bolivian designer who has been creating bespoke jewellery for nearly a decade. She draws inspiration from historical periods of glamour with recognisable styles that can be combined with modern concepts of jewellery design and materials. The production process begins with a rough initial sketch, followed by a detailed coloured design. From this outline, each stone is hand selected and arranged according to the colours and style of a central theme.

Elizabeth has had successful launches of her jewellery collections in San Francisco, Kuala Lumpur, Vienna and Munich. Her latest collection, "Regalia", is being launched from Cambridge and is inspired by the opulence of the French courts during the Renaissance period. This was the time when jewellery started to be worn to enhance the beauty of the female form rather than as a status symbol. In this collection, each piece is named after ladies of the French court from 'les jeunes filles' to distinguished 'madames'.

The distinguishing feature of "Regalia" is the use of the ancient Venetian filigree technique, where thin .925 Sterling silver threads are laid in intricate patterns and delicately soldered together. The filigree is then adorned with semi-precious stones popular during the Renaissance, such as pearls, garnets and amethysts together with more modern materials such as cubic zirconia and Swarovski crystals. The stones and filigree are held together using the finest .930 Argentium silver to maintain the highest standards of quality and beauty throughout the collection.

Prices range from: £33 - £77
